Application WBA Committee/Forum Co-Chair WBA is seeking co-chairs for its committees and forums. Active participation, whether as a co-chair or a member of a committee or forum, is an excellent way to develop leadership skills and increase professional visibility. Committee and forum members plan and implement programs and serve as “goodwill ambassadors” for the WBA. If you are interested in serving as a co-chair, please fill out this form completely. These applications are used to learn about your background, leadership goals, and how you see yourself contributing to the WBA mission. You may continue any of your responses on an additional sheet of paper and email to admin@wbadc.org.
Nonprofit DC Bar Pro Bono Center The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center transforms lives by providing free legal assistance to individuals, nonprofit organizations and small businesses through volunteer lawyers. The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center was established in 1978. Since then, the Pro Bono Center has become the largest provider of pro bono legal help in the District of Columbia.

Nonprofit Global Mentorship Initiative
Global Mentorship Initiative is a non-profit organization that empowers students around the world for success in their job search by providing them with the tools and guidance needed to be successful. This is accomplished through a structured, short-term, online, one to one mentorship with a business professional. You can volunteer to serve as a mentor for one student for 14 weeks (1 hour/week).
Nonprofit Neighborhood Legal Services Program Through an array of pro bono initiatives involving each of its practice areas, NLSP can best match the interests of volunteers with the expertise of NLSP attorneys in order to address critical, unmet legal needs of low-income residents in the District of Columbia. NLSP carefully designs volunteer opportunities to be impactful for clients and manageable for volunteers.
Nonprofit DC Volunteer Lawyers Project With the help of hundreds of well-trained volunteer lawyers each year, DC Volunteer Lawyers Project provides comprehensive legal services to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, sexual assault, and other forms of gender-based violence, and to vulnerable children living in dangerous situations. Leadership Course Leadership in the Legal Profession Berekely Law Education provides a course called Leadership in the Legal Profession. It is a ten-week, business school-style course for legal professionals who want to challenge intuitive approaches to leadership and management, as well as learn new mental models and dynamic leadership skills that can be quickly applied to their practices. Each two-hour class is held once a week and conducted virtually via the groundbreaking learning platform, Minerva Forum.
